Two Arrests at BTS Concert Saturday, Initial Attendance Set at 51,758

[Updated]  Pasadena police arrested two people Saturday night during the BTS concert at the Rose Bowl, a city official said.

One person was arrested for violation of Pasadena’s municipal drone ordinance, while a second was arrested for illegal merchandise sales.

A police official and fire department records indicate several traffic incidents following the end of the concert at 10:30 p.m., including a minor hit-and-run and a collision at the intersection of Rosemont Ave. and Seco Street at 1:03 a.m. Sunday.

Preliminary attendance figure based on ticket scans was 51,758 ticketholders in the stadium, the official said.

BTS, called by some in media the Beatles of the 21st Century, is a global sensation. The band launched their worldwide tour with two performances in Pasadena in the Rose Bowl this weekend.

The second concert was scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Sunday.

The parking lots will open at 1 p.m., the same time as today’s “Fan Fest” outside the Bowl.

Shuttles into the Bowl area from Parsons in Old Pasadena will start rolling at 3:30 p.m.

Rose Bowl gates swing open to ticketholders at 5:00 p.m.
