Community Health Alliance of Pasadena (ChapCare), the leading primary healthcare provider in the San Gabriel Valley and the WNBA Champion Los Angeles Sparks, hosted the third of four health and wellness events in the western and central San Gabriel Valley.

The goal of this unique partnership is to bring increased access to health and wellness education to children in the area.

The third Health and Wellness event was hosted at McKinley School in the City of Pasadena on Thursday, November 16, 2016. Key components of the event included: dribble drills, shootout contest, fitness competition, health and wellness program, meeting Sparky the Dog (the LA Sparks mascot), and lots of prizes and giveaways.

“Improving the health of children in our communities is critical,” said Margaret B. Martinez MPH, ChapCare’s Chief Executive Officer.

“ChapCare is happy to partner with the WNBA Champion Los Angeles Sparks to bring health and wellness education, an often overlooked component that contributes significantly to overall health, to children in the communities we serve.”

The fourth and final WNBA Champion Los Angeles Sparks health and wellness event will be hosted for the students of Valley View Elementary School, on December 2, 2016, in Duarte.
