Community Health Alliance of Pasadena (ChapCare) Announce its 2015-2016 Board of Directors

Community Health Alliance of Pasadena (ChapCare) is pleased to announce its 2015-2016 Board of Directors.As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), ChapCare’s Board of Directors plays a unique role in selecting our services, hours of operation, and health center locations. All ChapCare Board Members work and/or live in the communities we serve. ChapCare’s 2015 – 2016 Board of Directors has 13 members, including 8 which utilize ChapCare’s services.

• Adrian Acevedo, M.D. (Treasurer) – Retired Physician

• David Lerman, M.D., JD – Chief Counsel, Kaiser Permanente Medical Group
• Porfirio Frausto – Self-Employed
• Jessica Ruiz – U.S. Forest Service

• Mauricette Montredon – Director of Clinical Operations, Watts Healthcare Corporation

Community Health Alliance of Pasadena (ChapCare) was founded in 1995 by a group of community residents, city officials, and health care agencies to establish primary healthcare services for low-income, uninsured residents in Pasadena. ChapCare began providing medical services in 1998 and dental services in 2001. Today, ChapCare is a regional healthcare provider, which operates 4 health centers in Pasadena, and 2 health centers in El Monte/South El Monte. ChapCare provides primary healthcare services; including medical and dental care, behavioral health counseling, and on-site pharmacy; and a vast array of specialty services (including HIV medical care, optometry, and podiatry). ChapCare provides over 58,000 primary healthcare visits to over 14,600 patients annually.
