Copa America Soccer Matches with International Teams at the Rose Bowl Start This Week

The Rose Bowl Stadium will be hosting three of the first round (group) matches in the Copa America Centenario soccer championships on June 4, June 7, and June 9. The three games are expected to draw around 180,000 people to the Rose Bowl.

Brazil will take on Ecuador under Group B of the tournament on Saturday, June 4, at 7 p.m. Gates open at 4:30 p.m.

On Tuesday, June 7, Colombia’ team will match up with Paraguay under Group A. Game time is 7:30 p.m. Gates open at 5 p.m.

On Thursday, June 9, Mexico and Jamaica clashes under Group C at 7 p.m. Gates open at 4:30 p.m.

In various other United States locations, the once-in-a-lifetime soccer summer event, which honors 100 years of the Copa America tournament, will feature some of the world’s best teams and players competing from June 3 through 26, 2016.

The competition is to be played across 10 cities in the United States and involves 16 teams. Ten of those teams hail from South America, while the other teams are from the Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF), including the United States, Jamaica, Haiti, Costa Rica, Panama and Mexico.
