PCC Cross Country Men’s Guzman 46th at Mt. SAC Invitational

Freshman Nathan Guzman placed 46th overall to again be the fastest Pasadena City College men’s cross country runner at the Mt. San Antonio Invitational held October 17 in Walnut. Guzman covered the 4-mile course in a time of 22:30.5.

Guzman, from Salesian High, has taken the top spot for the Lancers in five of their six meets this year.

The Lancers took 14th out of 19 scoring teams at the event. Russell Yu was the next PCC harrier to the finish line in 85th place (23:35.5).

The rest of the PCC squad finished in the second half of the pack led by Celso Martinez, 100th, 23:54.3, Eric Bravo, 102nd, 24:00.4, Pedro Lopez, 114th, 24:25.4, Emilio Barragan-Steimer, 124th, 24:40.5, Sergio Andrade, 132nd, 24:51.9, and Gabe Walden, 167th, 27:19.9.

College of the Canyons captured the team title while Hartnell runner Diego Leon took the first place individual trophy at 20:30.4.

The Lancers prepare for the South Coast Conference Championships to be hosted by PCC at Hahamongna Watershed Park in Pasadena on Friday, Oct. 31.
