Damián Mazzotta General Manager, West impreMedia, LLC. and Gabriel Lerner, La Opinión will address the Pasadena Rotary Club on Wednesday, August 20 at 12:00 p.m. at the University Club of Pasadena, 175 N. Oakland Ave., Pasadena. The public is welcome to attend. Luncheon tickets are $30.

impreMedia is the leading Hispanic news and information company in the U.S. The Hispanic communities are the fastest growing communities in the U.S. The impact of these communities on the U.S. economy and political landscape is enormous. ImpreMedia publishes La Opinion, the nation’s number one Spanish language daily newspaper, in Los Angeles. La Opinion plays an extremely important role reporting upon, informing, and influencing the Hispanic community in Los Angeles. Join the Rotary Club on Wednesday when Mr. Mazzota will talk about Hispanic national, state and local trends plus the scope of impreMedia. Mr. Lerner will provide insight into Hispanic community issues, La Opinion’s community engagement and the upcoming re-launch of the newspaper next month.

Damián Mazzotta is the General Manager of the West division of impreMedia. In this role he is responsible for the management of the business units La Opinión (Los Angeles), El Mensajero (San Francisco) and Rumbo (Texas) and supports the impreMedia National products ESPN Deportes la Revista, Vista and quieromasfutbol.com.

Mazzotta began with impreMedia developing the 2013 consumer marketing plans and was promoted to VP, Business Development. Within his first year Mazzotta successfully launched numerous brand name products including partnerships with ESPN Deportes, Disney Publishing and TV celebrity chefs to leverage the engagement with impreMedia ́s audiences in Los Angeles and New York.

Previously Mazzotta was the Special Products and Consumer Promotions Director at La Nacion, an established national Argentine newspaper. He also led the coordination of the GDA Executive Committee for special products and promotions business units. La Nacion has strong ties to most important newspapers in Latin America, and is a founding member of the Grupo de Diarios America, an association that includes the most prestigious papers of the region. Mazzotta brings enormous expertise in the areas of developing new products, business lines and brands.

In his role as General Manager Mazzotta is charged with growing audience by leading engagement initiatives and increasing revenue by partnering with impreMedia’s clients and community associations.

Gabriel Lerner

Gabriel Lerner is the Editorial Director of La Opinión and laopinion.com. In this role, he is in charge of content for the largest Spanish language daily in the United States, a publication dedicated to serving the Latino community in both print and online.

Lerner worked for La Opinión starting in 1999, serving as editor in both the news and editorial page departments. From 2011 to 2014, he worked at The Huffington Post on the creation and development of the Huffington Post Latino Voices, serving as Editorial Director of the online news portal HuffPost Voces.
Lerner is an editor, journalist, writer, columnist, poet and the author of four books, one of short stories, two of poetry and a novel. He is also the proud father of four boys. He was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and has lived in Los Angeles since 1989.
