“It’s never easy to say goodbye, but Del Frisco’s Grille-Pasadena will be permanently closed after Sunday, October 20th. Reserve your table and join us for the final time this weekend,” a post on Del Frisco Pasadena’s Facebook page said Thursday.
The page’s profile said, “We’re Closing Soon. Thank You for Being Our Guest.”
The company said guests who had events booked in any of the closing locations have been advised by email or called by staff at its social dining team. Inquires about reservations may be sent through the chain’s Private Dining page, www.delfriscosgrille.com/private-dining.
Its closing — especially loss of the bar as an afterwork hangout — will be missed by many in the area.
Tilman Fertitta, owner of the NBA’s Houston Rockets, will acquire the Southlake, Texas-based steakhouse chain at the end of October.
Fertitta, already a steakhouse tycoon in his own right, announced his deal to acquire Del Frisco’s Grille last month, after Connecticut-based private equity firm L Catterton said it had purchased Del Frisco’s Restaurant Group in an all-cash deal valued at around $650 million.
A Houston Chronicle report in September said L Catterton will retain ownership of Del Frisco’s Bartaco and Barcelona Wine Bar brands, but will sell Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouses and Grilles to Fertitta for an undisclosed amount.
The sale is expected to close at the end of this month.
The chain will also permanently close Del Frisco’s Grille locations in Burlington and Chestnut Hill in Massachusetts, Washington D.C., and North Bethesda, Maryland after Sunday. The company said the closures apply only to Del Frisco’s Grille locations, while all existing Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse locations will remain open for business.
Customers with reservations at the Pasadena branch are advised to call the restaurant, at (626) 765-9913, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Del Frisco’s Grille gift cards issued earlier may be used at any Del Frisco’s Grille or Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse. Rare Rewards points are also redeemable at any Del Frisco’s Grille or Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse, the company said.
