Delcam Adds Three Applications Engineers to North America Team

Delcam has added three additional applications engineers to its customer support teams in North America. The new appointments follow increased interest in Delcam’s software in both the USA and Canada from manufacturing companies that need to increase productivity to meet growing demand, to improve quality and reduce waste, and to shorten lead times.

Chris Marion has been added to the support team in the Windsor, ON, office. Chris has more than twenty years’ experience in machining and tooling design. He started as a machinist/CAM operator, programming everything from small components to large molds. In addition, Chris spent two years as a designer of plastic injection molds and a similar period working in an EDM department as an electrode designer. For much of his career, Chris has used Delcam’s PowerMILL CAM software for high-speed and five-axis machining.

Jean-Francois Landry has joined the team working in Delcam’s Quebec office. He will use his fifteen years of manufacturing experience to support customers using the FeatureCAM feature-based programming software. During his career, Jean-Francois has experienced different positions, mostly in the aerospace sector. He started as a CNC machinist working on lathes, mills and wire EDM machines. After five years,he becam ea quality inspector, again working in the aerospace industry. For the last six years, Jean-Francois moved back into programming, working with machining centers with up to five axes, together with CNC lathes, and also designing workholding.

Justin Ferguson has been added to the team in Delcam’s Pasadena, CA, office. Justin started his career in CADCAM in 2007 as an applications engineer for an education reseller which sold design and manufacturing software, 3D printers and laser engravers. During this period, he also attended Pasadena City College studying general engineering. In 2010, Justin transferred to California Polytechnic University, Pomona. While studying there, he worked in the prototype machine shop at Jet Propulsion Laboratory. For his final year, Justin went back to school full time and graduated with a degree in Manufacturing Engineering in June this year.
