For three nights in February, specifically Feb. 25 through Feb. 27, a host of outstanding restaurants throughout the Pasadena area will be participating in Hathaway-Sycamores Child and Family Services’ annual fundraiser, Dinners From the Heart.
Participating restaurants include: Arroyo Chop House, AKA Bistro, Bistro 45, Mi Piace, Gale’s, El Cholo, Patina, Vibrato, The Raymond, Mijares, Vertical Wine Bistro to name a few. The event is a win-win, as it enables caring members of the community to enjoy first-class meals, while simultaneously raising money to help fund Hathaway-Sycamores’ comprehensive therapeutic and other support services for children and families struggling with mental-health issues and other life challenges.
Dinners range from $75 to $250 per person, and include a complimentary bottle of wine for each party of two. This year’s event also features several group dinners with highly accomplished special guest speakers including: Los Angeles Times’ sports writers Sam Farmer and Gary Klein at Smitty’s Grill; actor Gedde Watanabe at Briganti; chef Claud Beltran and winemaker Wes Hagen at The Eatery; and International Wine & Food Society’s Dave Felton and Richard Sanford and Thekla Sanford of Alma Rosa Winery at Patina.
To participate in this extremely worthwhile as well as delectable fundraiser, simply select a date and choose from one of 40 restaurants and make a reservation by contacting And Sica at (626) 395-7100 ext. 2516 or AndreaSica@hathaway-sycamores.org. Seats are limited at each participating restaurant, so it’s recommended that reservations be made well in advance.
Since its inception in 1991, Dinners From the Heart has raised more than $665,000 for the programs and services provided by Hathaway-Sycamores. Special thanks for this year’s Dinners From the Heart go to event chairs: The Los Altos Auxiliary; as well as Bob and Gregg Smith of Smith Brothers Restaurant Corporation and their participating restaurants Arroyo Chop House, Cheval Bistro, Parkway Grill, Smitty’s Grill, Seco, and Vibrato.
