Close to Friday evening diners and shoppers, an armed robber held up the T-Mobile cell phone store in the 100 block of South Avenue Friday about 6:30 p.m.

Nobody was injured in the incident, said Pasadena police Lt. Vasken Gourdikian.

The robber — described as a 20 to 30-year-old black man with curly black hair and wearing black short and tennis shoes — entered the store,

then displayed a handgun before stealing cell phones and fleeing on foot.

The number of phones taken and their value is not known, Gourdikian said. The suspect remains outstanding.
