Do You Love Ahi Tuna?

If you love tuna then you know that Ahi Tuna is one of the most flavorful varieties of the fish you can get for your eating. This tuna tastes great any way you cook it and even uncooked, for those who like sushi, it is always delicious.

 

But what is Ahi Tuna? Well, this species of tuna is divided into two different types: yellowfin and bigeye. Their name is the Hawaiian word for fire and is in reference to smoke coming off a fishing line as it goes over the side of a boat when one is caught. The species is valued for being a sport fish and for its delicious flavor that people love to eat. Ahi are most abundant in the spring and summer months in the ocean waters around Hawaii, but they can usually be found all year-round. Let’s take a look at the bounty that is Ahi Tuna:
