Dr. John Link, one of the world’s leading breast cancer specialists and author of The Breast Cancer Survival Manual, now in its 5th edition, will speak at Cancer Support Community Pasadena (“CSCP”) on January 30, 2018 at 6:30 pm. Admission is free, and the first 50 attendees will receive a complimentary copy of Dr. Link’s book.
Dr. Link established one of the first comprehensive breast care centers in the United States based on his innovative “optimal care” model. By using this model, which incorporates all aspects of screening, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up within a single medical environment, thousands of his patients have benefitted over the last 30 years. Women are provided with individualized care tailored to their unique cancer situation using a team approach.
As pointed out by Dr. Link, “By understanding the risks and benefits of different treatment options, women will feel confident in the choices they make. I have had the privilege to care for women with breast cancer for over three decades and have seen the cure rate increase from 55% to close to 90%.”
This event is sponsored by Jeff and Patti Buckner and the Negri Foundation. CSCP is located at 76 E. Del Mar Blvd in Pasadena, in the Pasadena Humane Society’s building. Dr. Link will be speaking in the multipurpose room located on the first floor.
