Driver Overturns Car on Washington Boulevard, Attempts to Flee

A man allegedly driving under the influence sideswiped two parked cars then lost control of his vehicle and it overturned on Washington Boulevard near Los Robles Ave. about 9:00 p.m. Friday night, authorities said.

Pasadena Police Sgt. Paul Carpenter said the man fled the crash scene but was stopped by police as he ran south along Los Robles Avenue.

Alfredo Romero, 33, of Pasadena, was arrested and booked for DUI, Carpenter said.

Pasadena Fire Dept. spokesperson Lisa Derderian said the man suffered only “minor injuries.” Romero did not require hospitalization.
