Event to Highlight School Peer Mediation Programs

WJC and SCMA’s event features student peer mediators and a panel discussion

Western Justice Center (WJC) and Southern California Mediation Association (SCMA) are hosting an evening featuring school Peer Mediation programs. The event will be held at the Western Justice Center on Thursday April 28th, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Speakers include student mediators and program coordinators. The event is free though RSVPs are requested through an online form.

This event will include speeches from Student Peer Mediators regarding mediator training, their experiences in mediation, and the effects of the program; followed by a panel discussion with Peer Mediation Coordinators and Student Peer Mediators from local Middle and High Schools. Jason Harper, Mediator and Alternative Dispute Resolution Consultant with the Los Angeles County Office of Education, will moderate the panel.

Mediators, school administrators, counselors, teachers, parents and students are encouraged to attend. Western Justice Center is located at 55 S. Grand Ave. Pasadena. More information can be found on the website.
