The community of Saint Anthony Greek Orthodox Church in Pasadena will be sponsoring the annual Pasadena Greek Fest this weekend, starting at 5 p.m. Friday, September 21, at 778 S. Rosemead Blvd.

The three-day festival offers a unique Greek experience without you ever leaving Pasadena, and features a variety of classic Greek cuisine – lamb chops, gyros, succulent souvlaki, golden fried calamari and grilled octopus.

You can wash it all down with a selection of authentic Greek wines and spirits, or enjoy a refreshing frappe or smoothie.

The Olympians and special guest performers from Greece will offer live music, and award-winning groups will give dance presentations.

A special Kids’ Fun Zone will be available with rides, carnival games, and many more activities.

On Saturday and Sunday, September 22 and 23, Greek Fest opens earlier, at 12 noon up to 10 p.m.

The sponsors are also offering free continuous shuttle service this year from a free parking lot at Santa Anita Park, with less than two miles to travel to the Greek Fest. A map and instructions for the shuttle service are available through www.instagram.com/p/BnZhoWRBKZu.

Admission to the festival is $4 at the door. Children 12 and under are free.
