Fall is Packed with Activities and Fun at the Sierra Madre Public Library

Four special children’s events are planned now through December.

• In-N-Out Reading Club – through November 14, children ages 4-12 get one free In-N-Out Burger for every five books read—up to 3 coupons per child.
• Harry Potter Party, Saturday, November 7, 3:00-5:00 pm. Kids of all ages, bring your friends to the Sierra Madre Public Library for our annual Harry Potter party. Wear costumes, sort into houses, win points and more!
• Author visit & storytime, Wednesday, November 18, 7:00-8:00 pm, Meet author Lynn Martin Snowden as she shares her book Maezie’s Pumpkin Patch, based on Pasadena’s accomplished heirloom pumpkin grower.
• Make Your Own Mini Rose Float, Tuesday, December 21, 10:00 am. “Find Your Adventure” at our annual celebration of the Tournament of Roses Parade with the help of the Sierra Madre Rose Float Association.

Popular ongoing library programs for all ages include:

• Third Thursday Book Club for adults —11:00 am, November 19—China Dolls by Lisa See, and December 17—Bring your favorite book read this year.
• Teen Book Club—Grades 7-12, Wednesdays, 4:00-5:00 pm, November’s selection is The Westing Game by Ellen Raskin.
• Preschool Storytime—Ages 3-6, Mondays at 10:00 am & Wednesdays at 7:00 pm, Baby Rhyme Time—Ages 0-2, Tuesdays at 10:00 am, Barks & Books—Grades K-3, Second Thursday at 3:30 pm, Practice reading with a gentle, friendly dog to build reading confidence and win prizes, and Family Place Early Learning area open when the Library is open.

As always, the Library offers free Wi-Fi, e-books and e audio books.
