Trattoria Neapolis specializes in romance

For so many in the world, Italy is the land of romance. From delicate works of art and literature that celebrate love, to more than 100 ways to say “I love you,” to food and wine that will make you swoon with happiness, Italy has earned its reputation.

Trattoria Neapolis will take all that Italy is famous for, wrap it all up and serve it this coming Valentine’s Day. Their menu for that special night will be one to write love letters about.

It begins with Kumamoto Oysters with special hot sauce and lemon, and then a pasta of bucatini, Maine lobster, oven dried cherry tomato and lobster sugo.

The entrée is a choice of wood-grilled veal chop, porcini potato torta, braised greens and marsala sugo, or a pan-seared Mediterranean sea bass with Manila clams, fregola, fennel, and lobster saffron broth.

For dessert, lovers can indulge in the chocolate strawberry bombé—Devil’s Food cake, with strawberry-prosecco sorbetto or dark chocolate.

Neapolis is also featuring their special Valentine’s Day cocktail—the Roman Love Letter, featuring Rose champagne, St. Germain, vodka, fresh lemon juice, and Peychaud’s bitters crushed ice.

The regular menu is also available every evening as well as Valentine’s Day. But it is Valentine’s Day, after all, isn’t it?

Trattoria Neapolis is at 336 South Lake Avenue, Pasadena. (626) 792-3000. www.trattorianeapolis.com.
