A 39-year-old man was taken to a hospital after he sustained a leg wound when he physically fought with another man early Monday morning in the 400 block of North Holliston Avenue in Pasadena.

Police think the suspect, who remains at large, may have used a small-bladed weapon during the fight, although none was recovered from the scene.

Pasadena police Lt. Pete Hettema said the fight started at around 4:40 a.m. when the victim noticed his car window was broken.

“The victim confronted the suspect and his girlfriend about a broken window in his vehicle that he believed they were responsible for,” Hettema said. “The suspect and the victim physically fought and the suspect cut the victim’s leg with some unknown weapon. He never saw it but it was obviously more than a fingernail that caused that gash. The altercation was broken up by another individual and the victim drove home where he called paramedics and notified the police.”

Hettema said paramedics took the victim to a local hospital for some stitches.

The suspect, whom police described as a 26-year-old male Hispanic, remains at large. The victim and the suspect reportedly knew each other.

Anyone with information about the incident is advised to call the Pasadena Police Department at (626) 744-4241.
