Fire Erupts Inside a Church, Quickly Knocked Down

A rubbish fire that erupted inside a Church at the 1000 block of North Fair Oaks Avenue on Friday has been put out by firefighters, authorities said.

“Smoke filled the church,” said Lisa Derderian, spokesperson for the Pasadena Fire Department. “Fortunately, no one was there at the time.”

According to Derderian, the fire was called in by a neighbor who saw smoke emitting from the Church.

Fire investigators are currently on their way to the scene, Derderian said.
