A woman who threatened to jump from the 210 overpass spanning San Gabriel Blvd. was pulled to safety by first responders with help from a good Samaritan.
Pasadena Fire Department spokeswoman Lisa Derderian told the Pasadena Star-News that a person reported the woman standing on the overpass ledge at 11:17 a.m. Saturday morning.
Derderian said that when firefighters arrived, they placed an inflatable cushion under the woman and raised a ladder up toward her. Rescuers continued speaking with her and, after several minutes, she allowed herself to be pulled to safety.
The woman was taken to a hospital for evaluation.
