Fish on Tap Rolls Out Craft Beer and Fresh Fish

 

Despite its unusual name, Fish on Tap may just be your next favorite place to drink, dine and hang out. This casual, high quality restaurant feels like the perfect place to meet an old friend for dinner – neither the food nor the atmosphere will disappoint.

 

From the stylish wooden bar with metal details to the comfortable navy couch, Fish on Tap is a comfortably chic place to hang out. As manager, Josh Rivera, explained the vibe is casual but the food and decor are upscale. He doesn’t want customers to feel underdressed but also is adamant about providing top-notch food.

 

 

As Chef Sam explained, what makes Fish on Tap unique is their dedication to fresh fish. Everything is delivered daily and many fish are bought live – there are even live lobster tanks by the bar.

 

“It’s the taste – it’s fresh and tender,” said Chef Sam. He adds that many restaurants use frozen fish but the extra effort to source local, fresh fish makes all the difference. But it’s not just the unbelievably fresh fish that will have you flipping over Fish on Tap, the unique flavor combinations and meticulous attention to detail will make a fish lover out of you.

 

 

From the fun Spicy Tuna Nachos – made with fried wontons, topped with guacamole and spicy tuna with spicy mayo – to the artfully plated raw oysters. Design and detail is inherent in every dish. For lunch, the lobster sandwich is a standout. The lobster meat comes piled in a pocket of soft, grilled bread and garnished with root vegetable chips.

 

 

The name? Fish on Tap is a combination of the restaurant’s two focal points – fish and craft beer. They also have sake and iced green matcha tea to accompany your meal. Predictions are that everything will go swimmingly for this new Pasadena restaurant.
