Crack Shack Is Coming To Pasadena

San Diego-based Crack Shack, the fried chicken restaurant that celebrity chef and “Top Chef” alum Richard Blais and La Jolla entrepreneur Michael Rosen started in 2015, is coming to Pasadena, LA Eater said in a report Monday.

Just last month Rosen announced that the company was expanding into Old Pasadena after acquiring an ABC license a month earlier for the space that used to be Firehouse Recording Studios at 30 West Green Street.

Crack Shack will be located in the same neighborhood as Rocco’s Tavern, 85°C Bakery, and Buca di Beppo.

The restaurant opened in San Diego’s Little Italy in 2015 and prides itself in serving dishes from “locally raised, free-living chickens without a care or antibiotic in them — just as they should be.”

The online menu lists Crack Shack’s five-piece fried chicken at $15, 10-piece meal at $29 and its fried breast at just $5. Chicken sandwiches are from $9 to $13, and the salads are between $5 and $9.

There has been no official announcement as to an opening date.
