Pasadena City College sophomore running back Zander Anding was selected SCFA National Northern Conference Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in the Lancers’ loss v. Ventura College on October 18.
Anding caught three touchdown passes from quarterback Trevor Hampton covering 11, 21, and 56 yards. The Burbank Burroughs High graduate finished totaling 107 yards receiving in eight catches while leading PCC in rushing on 14 carries for 39 yards (teammate Sean Mardis also had 39 yards).
Anding joins defensive back Marlon Dobbins, linebacker Jalyn Williams, and running back Justin Carroll as SCFA POWs this season. Anding is the first Lancer to win the offensive award as Carroll’s selection was for all-purpose.
The Lancers (2-5, 2-2 in the NNC) next play at Moorpark College on Saturday, Oct. 25 in a 6 p.m. conference game.
