Foothill Family Receives Work-Life 2016 Seal of Distinction Award

Foothill Family has been recognized for its outstanding commitment to employee engagement and work-life balance by WorldatWork. The Work-Life Seal of Distinction is a mark of excellence designed to identify organizational success in promoting effective practices to support and maintain the health of its employees.

Begun in 2012, the prestigious Seal of Distinction measures the overall strength of organizations’ work-life portfolio and success in creating positive work environments. Awardees have been evaluated on work-life programs, policies, and practices that meet the needs and challenges facing employees today.

This year’s recipients represent nonprofit organizations and for-profit companies in industries of education, finance, government, health, law, manufacturing, and pharmaceuticals, and hail from 30 states, the District of Columbia, and Canada. The 2016 list includes 49 new companies and shows 67 companies returning to the list from previous years. In addition, 53 organizations have workplaces outside of the United States. Foothill Family has joined the ranks of awardees including Yale University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), the National Institutes of Health, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Nestlé, Marriott International, and Northrop Grumman Corporation.

Foothill Family was founded in 1926 and provides a range of community-based mental health and social services to at-risk populations in Southern California. Its mission, to build brighter futures for children and families, has helped Foothill Family earn a reputation for providing high-quality services aimed at empowering families and strengthening communities.
