On Thursday, October 3, from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., guest gathered at the Los Angeles County Arboretum for the Golden Plate Awards Luncheon honoring humanitarianism in individuals and organizations who share the mission and vision of the Foothill Family Services.

The guest host for the event was ABC7 reporter Veronica Miracle. Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger was the guest speaker.

This year’s awards went to: Heart in Hand Humanitarian, posthumously awarded to Jaylene Moseley; Neighbors Helping Neighbors Business Award, Pink Transfer/Moving and Storage; and Carl Foote Legacy Award, Janet Wall and Laurie Orvis.

Monies raised from this year’s event will benefit the fleet operations for the Foothill Unity Center. The current fleet will age out at the end of the year due to new regulations coming into play. These vehicles are imperative to the programs and services of Foothill Unity Center.
