Forecaster Now Say Friday Rains Will Be Brief, During Night Hours Only

Thursday will be mostly sunny in Pasadena, with a high near 83 and light winds coming in from the south and southwest at five to 10 miles per hour.

Thursday night will see increasing cloudiness, but National Weather Service forecasters don’t see much rain on Friday, although patchy fog is expected in Pasadena from Thursday night into Friday morning before 11 a.m.

On Friday, “a slight chance of rain will overspread the entire area (Southwestern California) but that’s it. After midnight, the clouds will clear and the chance of rain will end,” says a NWS forecast discussion.

NWS estimates Friday night’s rain chance at 20 percent. Friday’s highs will be near 72 and lows around 53.

Friday night will still be mostly cloudy, and then “a little ridge will shoot overhead on Saturday and this will clear the skies out and warm things up,” the NWS explains.

Saturday and Sunday will be mostly sunny, with a high between 74 and 76, lows around 55.
