Four Days of Rain and Cold Predicted

Published on Saturday, February 28, 2015 | 6:04 am

Pasadena’s sunny streak will be interrupted with four days of scattered showers and cold temperatures from Saturday through Tuesday, the National Weather Service predicts.

Saturday sees a 50 percent chance of scattered showers under mostly cloudy skies, with a high near 63, the Service says, with the chance of precipitation rising to 80 percent Saturday night. Showers and possibly a thunderstorm producing small hail are possible. Saturday’s low should drop to around 49.

Sunday showers and thunderstorms are likely and hail is possible. The day will be partly sunny, with a high about the same as Saturday, near 63. Showers and thunderstorms will likely continue throughout much of the night and early Monday morning, under cloudy skies. The temperature will drop to a chilly 45.

Monday will be similar, with a 60 percent chance of showers under partly sunny skies. Winds could pick up to 15 miles per hour. The temperature should hit 63, matching the weekend. Monday night the rain will continue, and the low is expected to be 49.

Tuesday should drier, but a 20 percent chance of rain will remain and the skies will still be cloudy. The temperature will climb a bit, to a high of 66.

Finally Wednesday, the sun should return with a sunny 68 degree day, and by Friday the weather is predicted to be sunny with a 79 daytime high.
