Girls Athlete of the Week: Cate Ziegler of Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy

Accomplishments: Ziegler had an incredible week and was a big part in wins over Saddleback (37-0), Marymount (13-3), Poly (14-4) and Saturday’s 12-0 victory at Fairfax. The freshman catcher-first basemen went 9 for 11, including a grand slam. Ziegler drove in 17 runs, scored 9 times, and had two doubles and a triple. She also was hit by pitch three times and walked twice. FSHA improved to 7-1, and they’ll host Notre Dame Academy on Thursday at 3:30 in their final tune up before Mission League play begins on March 28 against Alemany.
