Flintridge Prep’s girls soccer team won its eighth consecutive game on Friday when they defeated Oak Hills, 3-0, in a CIF-SS Division 3 quartefinal.

Helen Schaefer scored two goals and had an assist to help lead the Rebels to a semifinal berth.

Prep (22-3-3) will host South Torrance (17-1-2) after the Spartans defeated Glendora, 3-0.

The semifinals will take place Tuesday, but the time has yet to be determined.

Mikaela Celeste scored a goal for Prep, and Julia Gonzalez had an assist.

Lindsey Uteda pitched another shutout in goal for the Rebels, her 16th of the season.

Schaefer’s two goals gave her 30 on the season, and Celeste scored goal No. 21 for the sophomore.

“Oak Hills is a very physical and athletic team that made it very difficult for us in today’s game,Prep coach Esteban Chavez said. “Our girls kept to our brand of soccer as much as possible, which is difficult to do on our smll home field versus big and athletic team, regardless our girls were able to perform well on both ends of the field. Helen Schaefer and Julia Gonzalez continue to perform at a high level by performing goals, assists and making it difficult for opposing teams to neutralize them.”

Box Score:
Oak Hills 0-0-(0)
Flintridge Prep: 2-1-(3)
