The Salvation Army Pasadena Tabernacle Corps held its annual Back to School program in Hastings Ranch on Saturday morning.

The event, held in conjunction with Sears every summer, featured the gifting of backpacks filled with school supplies and a $75 gift certificate to approximately 150 local students.

Participating families also got the run of the entire Sears store an hour before the store’s official public opening time.

The event was also sponsored by the Pasadena Host Lions Club and PUSD Families in Transition.
