The awards, announced by SPARC President Sandy Kitto and SPARC Founder and Vice President Lissa Reynolds, went to three 12th graders: Jade Li, 1st prize (a certificate and $250); David Perez Espinosa, 2nd prize (a certificate and $150); Ixchel Carrizales de Lara, 3rd prize (a certificate and $100). In addition, student Alicia Cerda received an ArtCenter College of Design scholarship for a series of free ArtCenter at Night classes.

“The level of creativity and the maturity shown in the artwork created by our SPHS students was truly impressive,” said Kitto. “Make sure to stop by the Gallery and view the students’ work. It’s well worth the trip!”
