Holly E. Bruno to Serve as Keynote Speaker at Pacific Oaks College Commencement

The 55th Commencement Ceremony of Pacific Oaks College will take place on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium with a commencement address by the best-selling author, international keynote speaker, and ground-breaking radio host Holly E. Bruno, M.A., J.D.

“Holly is an engaging, moving, and entertaining speaker. We are delighted that she will be speaking at the Pacific Oaks commencement ceremony,” said Pacific Oaks College President Dr. Ezat Parnia.

Pacific Oaks College anticipates graduating over 400 students, who will receive degrees in B.A. in Human Development, B.A. in Education, M.A. in Human Development, M.A. in Marital and Family Therapy, and M.A. in Education.

Holly served as Assistant Attorney General for the state of Maine and Assistant Dean at the University of Maine School of Law. While working as an Associate Professor and Dean of Faculty at the University of Maine – Augusta, Holly was selected “Outstanding Professor.”

An alumna of Harvard University’s Institute for Educational Management, Holly teaches leadership courses for The McCormick Center for Early Childhood Leadership and nationwide for Wheelock College.

Holly’s works include the best-selling books, What You Need to Lead an Early Childhood Program: Emotional Intelligence in Practice, Managing Legal Risks in Early Childhood Programs, and Learning from the Bumps in the Road. Her first book, Leading on Purpose was published by McGraw-Hill in 2008. Holly’s radio programs on iTunes have ranked in the top 200 K-12 podcasts. She also hosts an online radio program called Heart to Heart Conversations on Leadership: Your Guide to Making a Difference on BAM! Radio Network and has been interviewed on NAEYC Radio, National Head Start Association Radio, and the National Association of School Principals Radio.

Holly’s keynotes receive glowing audience reviews around the world, from New Zealand to Hungary and in 47 of the United States. To recovering attorney Holly, life is a joyous daily adventure.
