Hoving Home is Having a Backyard Barbecue, Thursday, May 24

The Hoving Home in Pasadena is holding a Backyard Barbecue Thursday, May 24, featuring Smokin’ Steve’s Southern Style Pit Barbecue and a silent auction at its 127 S El Molino Ave. location in Pasadena from 5:30-8:30 p.m.

 

The fundraiser benefits Hoving Home, which focuses on serving women, 18 years and older, who have been involved in drug addiction, alcoholism, prostitution and other life-controlling problems.

 

The event will also feature acoustic guitar picking by Dennis Agajanian III.

 

The Walter Hoving Home was founded in 1967 by John and Elsie Benton. Its 6-12 month program supports women’s needs within an atmosphere of warmth, trust, support, and love. The Home provides women with help developing social and professional capabilities and prepares them to be productive members of society.

 

Tickets for the BBQ are $35 and must be purchased in advance.
