In Line for Early Morning Snack, Man is Viciously Knocked Unconscious from Behind

A customer waiting in line for an early morning snack at King Taco on Arroyo Parkway in Old Pasadena was suddenly struck so hard by a man behind him that he was knocked unconscious, police said.

The unidentified victim fell and received a head injury which required paramedics to transport him to a local hospital, Pasadena Police Sgt. Paul Carpenter reported.

The attack happened at about 2:25 a.m.

“Officers were outside when it occurred and they detained the suspect,” Carpenter said. “Some witnesses positively identified the suspect.”

Due to the extent of the victim’s injuries, the suspect was booked for assault with a deadly weapon.

No other information is available at this writing about either the victim or the suspect.
