Ironworkers Local 433 have endorsed Phlunte’ Riddle for State Senate District 25, announced the Riddle campaign.

“Phlunte’ is the most prepared to help grow the middle class with good-paying jobs,” said Piedmont Brown, President of Ironworkers Local 433. “She’s helped kids in tough neighborhoods find mentors and support services. Phlunte’ knows access to vocational training can be a successful path to the middle class.”

“I’m honored to earn the support of the Ironworkers,” said Phlunte’ Riddle. “Their members do dangerous and highly skilled work that makes our buildings and infrastructure safe. As Senator, I’ll work hard to increase good-paying union jobs that help grow our economy.”

Riddle resides in Pasadena with her husband of 37 years and is the mother of three adult sons. Riddle spent nearly 29 years rising through the ranks of the Pasadena Police Department to become the first woman to be permanently assigned as a gang/street narcotics officer and the first African American female sergeant and lieutenant. She retired as a lieutenant, serving as Public Information Officer & Adjutant to the Chief of Police.

Riddle is also an adjunct professor at Golden West College and owns a consulting company where she trains executives and helps solve communications challenges in organizations.
