Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE:JEC) announced today that it was awarded a five-year, multiple use contract by Suncor Energy Services Inc. for turnaround services at Suncor facilities located in the Wood Buffalo region of Alberta, Canada.

Under the terms of the contract, Jacobs may provide pre-work, execution and post-work for turnaround events during planned outages at Suncor facilities. Turnaround services to be provided under this contract include mechanical, piping and support services.

In 2014, Jacobs completed over 700,000 turnaround work hours with more than 830 employees and contractors across Suncor’s Wood Buffalo sites. All work hours were completed without a significant injury.

In making the announcement, Jacobs Group Vice President Tom Quinn stated, “As a turnaround contractor on Suncor’s Wood Buffalo sites since 2011, these sites are more than a location at which our personnel work–they are communities. We are committed to working with Suncor to actualize our shared goal of delivering operational excellence and achieving incident and injury-free site environments with a localized workforce.”

Suncor Energy is Canada’s leading integrated energy company.

Jacobs is one of the world’s largest and most diverse providers of technical professional and construction services.
