Jake’s in Old Pasadena Closes After Years of Serving Community

Published on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 | 5:05 pm

After decades of serving up one of Pasadena’s best burgers, Jake’s of Pasadena closed its doors on April 30, 2015.

Throughout the years, Jake’s has remained a classic Pasadena fixture, providing a great place to meet friends for drinks and a game of pool, and has always resonated with the local community as the perfect place for an exceptional, value-priced burger.

“This decision is certainly not without great sadness and emotion. We greatly appreciate our customers and our employees, and we really wish that we could continue to exist in this location for many more decades. Unfortunately, the cost of real estate in this community exceeds our ability to offer our products and services at a price point that remains competitive and attractive to our guests. We would like to thank the City of Pasadena for their constant support and patronage during our many years of business. We also would like to thank our guests who came to us regularly and made this place a landmark in Pasadena.” said Greg Stevens, owner of Jake’s.
