Jewish Federation and Pasadena Jewish Temple & Center Co-Sponsoring Community-Wide Caregiver Resource Fair

The Jewish Federation of the Greater San Gabriel and Pomona Valleys and Pasadena Jewish Temple & Center are co-sponsoring a Caregiver Resource Fair on Sunday, October 18 from 10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at the Pasadena Jewish Temple & Center (1434 N. Altadena Drive, Pasadena). This resource day will feature a series of speakers and provide attendees the opportunity to meet and speak with representatives that handle matters such as legal issues, hospice, housing, caregiver support, Medicare, in-home health care and more.

This resource day was developed as a way to help those in the community that either already caring for a loved one or will soon be as a way to help people plan ahead for the inevitable.

The keynote speaker, Dr. Helena Chui, from the Keck School of Medicine at USC will discuss neurological disorders. A panel of experts will highlight Elder Law, Living Options and Caregiver Resources, the importance of diagnosis, and more.

Representatives will be on hand from numerous nonprofit organizations that serve caregivers including Huntington Senior Care Network, The Jewish Home, Bet Tzedek Legal Services, as well as individual consultants, whose services are designed to aid and educate the community.

The Caregiver Resource Day is free and open to the public. Brunch will be served.
