On May 26, 2015, the Junior League of Pasadena, Inc. (JLP) held its Annual Meeting to honor member achievements, reveal its new community focus area, and install its new 2015-2016 Board of Directors. This meeting was full of organizational pride and excitement as members and guests reflected on the past year and introduced new members into the League.

Two years of research and training culminated with a League-wide vote and an announcement of the JLP’s new community focus area at the Annual Meeting. The “Support and Development of Women” was revealed as the new community focus area. When discussing the issue, new JLP President Robyn Grandy said, “We’re good at tackling big issues. The Junior League was made for this.”

In her remarks, President Grandy spoke about what makes the Junior League different and how our membership can “make it matter.” She said, “It is in our compassion for others where we are called to act – individually and together. The sum of our many small impacts will create our greatest moments. And we make it matter!”

The JLP also celebrated five women moving to Sustaining membership after their many years of Active service to the League and community, including two former Board members. Twenty women moved from Provisional to Active membership, including Sarah Hatch and Jessica Stoller Conrad, who were awarded the Junior League of Pasadena’s Annual “Rosebud Award” for outstanding service during their Provisional year of membership.

Other new Board members include President-Elect Jennifer Alan Goldman of Pasadena; Community Director Lauren Hooten of Pasadena; Finance Director Brooke Bennett of Arcadia; Fundraising Director Dana Jones of Pasadena; Marketing Director Kim Ferreira of Pasadena; Membership Director Amy Onderdonk of La Canada; Program Development Director Anna Agadjanyan of Glendale; Recorder Daryl Synowiec of Sherman Oaks; State Public Affairs Council (SPAC) Senior Representative Kathryn Enright of La Canada; Sustainer Advisor to the Board Sherry Gray of Pasadena; President’s Assistant Marah Lyvers of Pasadena.
