On March 9, 2013, Junior League of Pasadena, Inc. (JLP) hosted a League training event, “An Afternoon of Business Savvy” at Bodega Wine Bar in Pasadena. Over 30 JLP members and their guests attended this training event presented by JLP member, local business woman and business etiquette expert Pamela Hillings Tegtmeyer.

Ms. Hillings Tegtmeyer, League President Emerita (1994-95) and daughter of the late U.S. Rep. Pat Hillings, has penned the book “Manners-in-a-Minute” with her mother and is also an etiquette consultant to the Tournament of Roses’ Royal Court.” Ms. Hillings Tegtmeyer gave a presentation and Q&A session on proper business etiquette and how to network and feel confident in any business or social situation.

Afterwards, hosted by Bodega Wine Bar, attendees enjoyed hor d’oeuvres, and a presentation and wine tasting of organic produced wines by Poppi Monroe of Springboard Wine Company. “An Afternoon of Business Savvy” was just one in a series of training events that the Junior League of Pasadena’s provides to its members, fulfilling its mission and commitment to creating trained volunteers and relevant training content for its members.
