Can you guess the age of the advanced culinary students who created these Chocolate masterpieces? Mid 20’s or early 30’s with years of Chocolate experience under their belt? Well, if that is what you guessed you would be so far off you would say I was delusional. Would you believe these chocolate sculptures were created by a group of 7-17 year old kids who attended a week of The Cooking Camp www.summerartacademy.com called simply Chocolate Extravaganza…

“We started the week with over 400 pounds of Chocolate and at times I felt I had to look for an Ooompa Loompa because I felt like Willie Wonka, we had so much Chocolate flowing” stated an excited Executive Chef Chris Allen.

Kids not only made this Chocolate sculpture over a 1 week period, but they also treated their family to some amazing Chocolate delights like a Chocolate Decadence Cake and the most delicious 100% Kona Coffee and Chocolate that was provided by the Original Hawaiian Chocolate Factory www.ohcf.us/index.html

All classes are weekly Monday – Friday in 3 hour sessions, which makes the Cooking Camp a great solution for some of those idle summer kids hours that need constructive life skills camp environment.

Titles such as the 50’s diner which features a Chicken Fried Steak with Country Gravy or Cartoon Cookery which will be highlighted by a Bugs Bunny carrot cake where the kids will get to use Fondant to make mini carrots.

“We also offer a class that goes on a Global tour called the Global Gourmet,” commented Chef Allen. This class will feature a Tapas workshop, Pizza Party and Taco Bar Friday with Sweet Buenuelos and cinnamon cream dipping sauce.

“I hope that everyone has a Great 4th of July weekend and that they sign their kids up www.summerartacdemy.com for an exciting week of hands on cooking at the Cooking Camp,” added Chef Allen.
