Firefighters from the Pasadena Fire Department rushed to a location in the 3200 block of East Barhite Street in Kinneloa area of Northeast Pasadena Tuesday morning to assist Los Angeles County firefighters responding to a garage fire.

Pasadena Fire Department Deputy Chief Bryan Frieders said the department sent two fire engines and a tanker to the scene.

Los Angeles County spokesman Marvin Lim said the LA County fire department received a report about the fire at about 7:59 a.m. The fire involved a one-story structure at 3200 East Barhite Street and was contained by 8:45 a.m.

There were no injuries reported and an estimate of the damage was not immediately available, Lim said.

Pasadena fire units responding included Engines 37 and 32 and Tanker 32, Frieders said. The team was headed by a battalion chief.

An earlier tweet by LA County Fire said they were investigating a possible brush fire. It later turned out the fire was confined to the garage.
