KNBC4 weatherman Fritz Coleman was in the Ralph’s grocery store at 160 N. Lake Avenue in Pasadena Tuesday as the Los Angeles channel continued its annual Help 4 the Hungry food donation drive with partners LA Food Bank, Food4Less and Ralph’s.
The campaign started on Monday, November 19, and is on until December 24.
This year, Help 4 the Hungry will pay particular attention to the needs of families affected by the recent wildfires in Malibu, Ventura County, and the San Fernando Valley.
Anyone willing to help can go shop at your nearest Ralph’s or Food4Less location and donate $5 and $10 at checkout. NBC says a $5 donation will provide at least 20 meals to an individual, while $10 will provide 40 meals.
All proceeds will benefit local food banks in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, and Ventura counties so they can distribute thousands of pounds of food immediately.
On Monday, November 26, and Friday, November 30, KNBC4 will go live throughout the day starting with Today in LA at various Ralph’s and Food4Less stores in region.
You can visit and make a donation, have a free cup of coffee and meet KNBC4 anchors and reporters.
In Pasadena, aside from 160 N. Lake Avenue, Ralph’s has stores at 3601 E Foothill Blvd., and 320 W Colorado Blvd. In South Pasadena, Ralph’s is t 1745 Garfield Avenue.
Food4Less in Pasadena is at 1329 N. Lake Avenue.
