GOLDLINE NOON CONCERT

GoldLine Noon Concert

GoldLine Noon Concerts are scheduled for the first Thursday of the month. This free half-hour concert involves a variety of musical ensembles including Lake Avenue Church musicians as well as invited guest artists.

Lake Avenue Church’s December 4th concert will take place in a different location – Fischer Hall (FL001) in the basement level of the Family Life building, and will feature Maranatha High School Mixed Ensemble Choir, directed by Dr. Garineh Avakian-Akkus in music of the Advent season.

O COOKIE TOWN OF BETHLEHEM

Join us on Wednesday, December 10, 6-8 pm in the Warehouse as we create a “Town of Bethlehem” from gingerbread cookies. We’ll provide the cookies and frosting to hold together the pieces. You bring lots of candies and decorations for our creations. Everyone gets to take home what they make!

This event is free, and open to the whole family.

MESSIAH SING-ALONG
Sunday, Dec. 14
6 – 7:30 pm, Worship Center

Join Lake Avenue Church for San Gabriel Valley’s favorite annual Messiah Sing-Along, now in it’s 19th year! Director Duane Funderburk leads audience members in Handel’s masterpiece, assisted by soloists & chamber symphony. Come early to hear Lake Avenue Children’s Choir in selections from the Messiah for Young Voices at 5:45pm. Scores are available to rent or purchase. A freewill offering will be taken. THE BIG ALL-CHURCH CHRISTMAS PARTY & POSADA The Big All-Church Christmas Party & Posada
Friday, Dec. 19
6 pm, West Parking Lot

Come join with our neighbors as they lead us in a “Posada”, a short processional reenacting Joseph and Mary’s search for lodging on the eve of the birth of our Savior with caroling, followed by more traditions: a delicious dinner of Pozole, Tamales, Champurrado and Buñuelos – all homemade.

Then comes more fun:

• the breaking of a piñata

• a special musical performance by STARS Students

• crafts and activities for children

So, ditch the mall, grab your family or a friend – don’t forget your coat….and appetite! This event is free! (Cash donations for food will be gladly accepted).

CHRISTMAS EVE FAMILY SERVICE

Christmas Eve is a special time at Lake Avenue church. Celebrate the birth of our Savior with us at our 4pm family service, led by our worship team. Childcare available for ages 3 & under on first floor of the Family Life Center.

Celebrate the birth of our Savior with us at the 9pm candlelight service, led by choir and orchestra.

CHRISTMAS DAY WORSHIP SERVICE
Thursday, Dec. 25
10 – 11:15 am, Chapel

A special Christmas Day service to celebrate our Savior’s birth. Join us in singing Christmas carols and a special Christmas homily as we meet together in one service in the Chapel at 10:00 a.m.
