La Salle College Preparatory School is launching its annual Christmas tree sale to raise for funds for its Student Life Program. in the process, you can create a wonderful holiday for your family or a military family.
The program encourages students to take an active role in the school’s community life and is designed to nurture faith through school-wide liturgies, daily prayer and a four-year retreat program.
Participants also reach out to the poor and marginalized through service opportunities and immersion trips.
Members of the Pasadena area community can help in the effort but must order their Christmas trees from La Salle College Preparatory by November 6, to be picked up on December 7 and 8.
If you don’t need a tree for yourself, you can order one for a military family at Fort Irwin in Barstow, as a way to spread from cheer and support the troops, La Salle said in an announcement on its website.
All you need to do is purchase the tree, and the School will take care of getting them delivered.
La Salle’s Student Life program and their Support Our Troops club have sold trees for the families stationed at Fort Irwin for the past 11 years, according to a report in the Pasadena Star-News.
Orders may be submitted online through www.lasallehs.org/xmastree2019. You can download an order form from the webpage, fill it up and submit to Ed O’Connor at La Salle Student Life with the payment.
The trees are priced from $42 for the five-to-six-foot Douglas Fir, to $80 for the seven-to-eight-foot Noble Fir. La Salle is located at 3880 East Sierra Madre Blvd.
Checks must be made payable to La Salle College Preparatory, the announcement said.
