On May 3, 2019, Leadership Pasadena (LP) graduated 21 inspired, trained and empowered individuals ready to lead and make an impact in the Pasadena community. Leadership Pasadena is a hands-on, community leadership program that immerses one in Pasadena’s rich history, government and world renowned organizations and institutions and provides in-depth, state of art leadership training. This is a unique program for those who want to play an active collaborative role in Pasadena’s future and believe in civil discourse and respectful debate on important issues to the community.

2019 graduates are Ava Alexandar, Barbara Avouac, Alexander Boekelheide, Becca Channell, Ali Everett, Nick Everett, James Farr, Scott Feldmann, Tina Fox, Ervin Galvan, Maribell Gonzalez, Anthony James, Marleni Jimenez, Alexandra Katsas, Bonnie Martinez, Kaya Plansker, Dioni Rovello, Rebecca Takahashi, Jennifer Torres Siders, Heather Wall and Katrina Yang.

Ervin Galvan, owner of We Olive, was selected to speak on behalf of the class and delivered an engrossing talk comparing the creating of a true leader with creating a fine wine—refining natural given attributes through state of the art training, directed care and detailed attention.

Over 100 friends and family celebrated the graduates’ completion of the comprehensive 8-month program and the five powerful mental health focused community service projects created by the class.

The evening was chaired by LP Board members and LP Alums Carla Buigues and Josh Driskell with LP Alum Louis Teran and Board member Kristen Jones.
