Leadership Pasadena is looking for veterans interested in leading again by serving their community. The organization is taking applications for its new Community Leadership Course for Veterans, at www.leadershippasadena.org.
“We ask everyone who knows a military veteran interested in community leadership to encourage them to apply!” said veterans services expert Lisa Raggio. “Our community needs our skilled veterans to help our non-profit, civic and governmental organizations address the challenges facing our communities.”
The course is for veterans ready and eager to serve and lead again in the community and fast-tracks their success as high-potential leaders in the community. Participants will personally engage with area business, government and community leaders to gain a comprehensive understanding of today’s civilian leadership culture, the civilian business landscape and the area’s strengths and weaknesses to take on community leadership roles within the San Gabriel Valley.
The Community Leadership Course for Veterans will re-mission high potential, service-driven military veterans to use their military skills and experiences to serve the region as leaders in non-profit, civic, government and service organizations and successfully integrate veterans into their post-military civilian life—powerfully benefiting both the veteran and the community.
