Leadership Pasadena Names Deb Raupp to Board

Leadership Pasadena is going back to the future and is very proud of it!

“We are thrilled to announce Deb Raupp, PhD., has rejoined the Board as Vice President of Programs,” per Cindy Bengtson, volunteer Executive Director of LP. “Deb has her B.S. in Education and her Masters in Counseling Psychology from the University of Wisconsin and her PhD in Workforce Development from UCLA. She has an incredible career in leadership development worldwide. And, Deb was the first Chair of the Board for LP in 2000! She relocated back east for over a decade and has just returned to California…and to LP!”

Ms. Raupp is Owner of Raupp Consulting Group, a management consulting firm that focuses on organizational culture, change management, leadership development and executive coaching. Deb is passionate about helping individuals and companies grow. Before that, Deb was a Global Vice President for Jacobs, a global Fortune 500 firm with 65,000 people. Deb had responsibility for corporate-wide executive and leadership development, core values implementation, change management, business management training, facilitation of company-wide strategy meetings and inclusion/diversity programs. Deb created and launched Jacobs’ corporate university, with an emphasis on leadership development. She also implemented a global management development program which has been instituted in over thirty countries.

Deb also spent two years in North Africa designing, building and leading a comprehensive Leadership Academy for the local workforce. She successfully implemented a five-pillar academy including: (1) leadership development, (2) emotional intelligence, (3) networking, (4) knowledge sharing and (5) technical skills training. In addition, she developed long-term friends and plans to go back at some point.

Deb is certified in change management and has conducted numerous change management initiatives in large organizations using proven practices and approaches. She provides workshops and keynotes on the topic of managing change. She will be responsible for program curriculum and development for Leadership Pasadena.

Leadership Pasadena is a hands-on, community leadership program that immerses you in Pasadena’s rich history, government and world renowned organizations and institutions. This is a unique program for those who want to play an active role in Pasadena’s future. The program provides participants with 24 hours of personal leadership training, a 2-day offsite Ropes course experience, 2 hours of one on one executive coaching, 60 hours of Pasadena community education and 40 hours of community service learning. Participants build meaningful connections with the area’s business, government and community decision-makers. With its many civic, non-profit and community organizations and its diverse communities, there is a large need for empowered and connected community leaders to address the concerns and issues of the Pasadena area together with respect and determination and results.
