“Kristen’s outstanding legal understanding of veteran’s issues and her broad business leadership skills will be of immense help to Leadership Pasadena as we move forward with our new 6-month Community Leadership Course for Veterans and we recruit emerging leaders for our premiere 8-month leadership development program,” according to Leadership Pasadena Board Chair Josh Driskell.
Kristen Schwarz joined DBS Law Group in 2011. Her practice provides comprehensive analysis for long term care needs, customized estate planning, and assessment of government benefits, namely Medi-Cal and Veterans benefits. She also handles conservatorship and elder abuse matters. Kristen received her J.D. from Southwestern Law School in 2011, where she received the Justice Marshall Francis McComb Memorial Scholarship.
Kristen holds a B.A. from University of California, Irvine in English, and an M.A. in Communication and Leadership Studies from Gonzaga University. She was recognized as one of THE Magazine’s Top Women Volunteers in 2011 and was name as a Top Attorney by The Pasadena Magazine for 2015, 2016 and 2017.
In 2018 she was honored by Lawyers of Distinction for excellence in probate law.
Kristen is a member of Junior League of Pasadena, Inc. (2013-2014 Past President, 2016-2018 Sustainer Board Member); Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy Alumnae Association Board (2014- 2016 President); Police Activities League of Pasadena (Board of Directors); Girls on the Run of Los Angeles, (2016-2018 Coach); Pasadena Bar Association (Chair of Women’s Section 2017- 2018); and ProVisors.
