“Manuel is a remarkable graduate of the Leadership Pasadena class of June 2017. He brings outstanding integrity, compassion for the community and those in need and exceptional financial expertise to our Board,” according to volunteer Executive Director and Board member Cindy Bengtson.
Manuel is the Management Analyst V for the city of Pasadena’s Public Health Department and is devoted to public health issues facing Pasadena and the country. He received his B. S. in Community and Regional Development from UC Davis and his Masters in Public Administration from USC. He completed the Leadership Pasadena program in June 2017.
Manuel has also been a guest lecturer at USC, Universidad Anahuac/Xalapa and is a Fellow on the New Leaders Council. He received a Certificate of Recognition from the city of El Monte for his work for the community there.
According to Manuel, “Participating in Leadership Pasadena was a transformative experience that advanced my understanding of my own leadership style and the community where I live and work. The leadership program is powerful and I want to do my part to offer the program to anyone interested in making impactful changes in our community.”
Leadership Pasadena is a hands-on, community leadership program that immerses you in Pasadena’s rich history, government and world renowned organizations and institutions. This is a unique program for those who want to play an active role in Pasadena’s future. The program also provides personal executive leadership training and coaching and helps you build meaningful connections with area decision-makers. With its many civic, non-profit and community organizations and its diverse communities, there is a large need for empowered and connected community leaders to address the concerns and issues of the Pasadena area together with respect and determination and results. Leadership Pasadena creates these leaders.
